I have never stayed somewhere that felt so much like home. Travelling on my own was daunting but Dolores welcomed me like an old friend. The room was clean, beautifully made up and had a breathtaking view. I was worried it might be cold after reading the previous review but that review couldnt have been further from the truth! The... We stayed here for 3 nights. Fantastic welcome from the hosts Dolores and John. Greeted with tea/coffee and delicious homemade cakes. Breakfast was a feast of full irish with homemade bread and numerous cups of tea or coffee. Dolores and John were extremely helpful providing maps and giving detailed descriptions of places to see. Nothing was too much trouble. They... More

We travelled to Oughterard for a wedding party in November with our three young children. On arrival at the guest house we were greeted by Dolores and her family and given a most warm welcome. We had tea and warm scones with jam which was perfect after our long drive. My youngest child had developed a sore throat on the... More

Traveling in Ireland, I have almost always had amazing experiences with those who run bed and breakfasts and hotels. Unfortunately, Forest Hill Bed and Breakfast was the worst BnB I visited in Ireland, and I would not recommend staying there. I booked Forest Hill for two nights, as I was really looking forward to seeing Connemara for the first time.... More

A wonderful place to start our Western Way trek. Delores was welcoming and drove us into the village for dinner. The next day she packed us a lunch and reviewed the day's map with us. A friendly, welcoming place. Classic Irelans!

Recently on a trip from London we stayed here and were warmly greeted by Dolores and served tea and scones on arrival. The view of the lad was breath taking and the gardens were out of this world. Bet value for money , breakfast was amazing will definitely be back

My niece and I found this B&B by good fortune. We spent the day riding bikes all over the Aran Island Inishmore. Exhausted, we decided to stay in Oughterard and found Dolores and her B&B very welcoming. She has a black labrador retriever that welcomes all guests in the driveway. She has several rooms. We stayed in a room with... More

Dolores, John and sister Pauline are some of the best people on the planet. They made our stay in the Conemara wonderful. If you are going to this area of Ireland, I highly recommend this B&B. It is also perfectly located. Thank you for a GREAT stay. I also have to add we went to the Aran island of Inismore... More
